Hi, sorry such a bad experience. I had tongue biopsy nearly 7 years ago (positive and followed by laser excision). I don't think I had stitches and don't recall much pain. All well until Xmas, trouble in same area.....2WW referral and a biopsy 16 days ago. This time 2/3 stitches. Doesn't help you much that only discomfort rather than pain, but maybe reassuring that even if you don't heal quickly or the medics not as experienced as mine no reason why shouldn't improve quite quickly.
