Supraclavical Lymph Node with Cystic Lesions (Left side)

Hello all,  in November last year I came across (by absolute chance) a lump inside my neck left hand side.  I assumed it was possibly a lymph node and was maybe swollen due to the season, expecting to get ill maybe.  December cam and it did not decrease in size and i tried to ouch dealing with it away and consumed myself in Christmas Prep for my 7 year old twins.  Boxing day came and reality hit me that i should really get this checked as it was still there.

So, start if January i went to see my GP who immediately referred me to ENT clinic on 2 week pathway.  Initially i had the camera down my nose, all fine.  I was then send for an MRI scan a few days later.  The following week i had an appt with ENT who sent me immediately downstairs for an Ultra Sound at which point during this the Nurse/Doctor said she wanted to do a Core Biopsy the following week.  1.5mm in size.  Once the Ultrasound was done i was sent back upstairs to the ENT Doctor who then stated he wanted to do a Full Body CT Scan as Lymph Node is usually a secondary cancer.  No diagnosis, no information just wait for a phone call and go to the scan.

A few days later I was given a slot for the following day, had the CT and have now been given an appointment back with the Doctor at ENT and it was suggested I bring a Family Member of Friend....  i am losing my mind !!

I feel so consumed with worry and I feel so in the dark and I know this is probably common practise and I cannot be any more grateful for the speed in which all if this has been addressed but I feel alone and lost.  Has anyone experienced anything similar with postive outcomes, i guess i'm just searching for hope right now xx

  • Hey there

Sorry you are going through this.

I've got something similar and really scared. Did you get an answer?

I have hard left supraclavicle lymphnode and appt on 6th March. Google is terrifying me!

  • Hi Elcapitain913,

Thank you for your reply, it really is a terrifying time I'm sorry to hear you are going through this also.

My biopsy results appointment is this Wednesday at 10am.   I'm so anxious and I agree google does not help positively.

I will come back to.you with an update I'm praying for positive news although the last 4 weeks had filled me with such dread.

It's such a difficult time when waiting but trust the process and if you need a chat throughout this journey I'm happy to listen.  This has been the loneliest I have ever felt so if I can ease this for anyone else, I certainly will try x

  • How stressful. I will send out some positive thoughts. There is a good news story here if that helps.

Lymphomas: To all those with Enlarged Supraclavicular Lymph Nodes

I've been trying to arrange a private MRI and even that is a nightmare! Everything takes so long, the private MRI department can't find my referral and it can be nothing or it can be something awful. I've never checked my lymphnodes before!

  • Thinking of you today. Sending out positive thoughts.
