I was wondering if there is anyone that’s got cervical cancer - their experience of bleeding from it - was it heavy bleeding with clots? I am 51 post ménopause / during a recent smear test my cervix started to bleed whilst she took the swab and then continued heavy with clots for approx 9 days. I also had pain on my cervix whilst she performed the test. My smear test result for HPV came back negative ( clear) but they do not test for abnormal cells in my area - and the Dr said that the bleeding from cervical cancer would be just spotting and light - not heavy with clots like mine and also I would’nt have pain like I am experiencing. I am just  worried about I have read many times that cervical cancer can cause heavy bleeding too ? They are just saying it is my HRT.
