Hsv2 and high risk hpv

Hello everyone,

I have been diagnosed with both Hsv2 and high risk hpv and have read so much information on the Internet and have made myself very unwell with worry.

Has anyone had any experience of this and testing negative to HPV later on? I'm heartbroken, I had no idea of either and am so worried about cancer, having just had a little boy.

  • Hello terrifiedandsad,

Sometimes the information we read on the internet is far from accurate or reliable and will only make us feel more worried. It's important to bear this in mind and to stick to sources you can trust. Have a read of our page on HPV which I hope you will find helpful, informative and reassuring.

Congratulations on having had a little boy - talk about your worries to your doctor who will be happy I am sure to explain HPV to you and give you reassurance. Feel free also to get in touch with our cancer nurses on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and they will be very happy to answer any questions you might have on HPV and cancer.

You will hopefully hear from other members of our community who are or have been in a similar place and have had Hsv2 and high risk HPV. It helps to talk to others who've been there before and who can reassure you from their own personal experiences.

    Best wishes,
