I'm 39 and in the last 2 years I've noticed that my one nipple areola has changed as it's usually bumpy all around, but now its completely flat and smooth. I'm not sure if it's sunken or if its just I'm getting older and its loaing firmness.

For the passed few days, this specific area is now itchy.

Should I book in with the GP? Or is this change normal with age? I tried to google changes to bumpy areola to flat but nothing is coming up. No change to wash powder or body wash.
