Helen - waiting on biopsy results for postmenopausal bleeding

Im waiting on biopsy results for postmenopausal bleeding and I m scared out of my wits.

  • Hi Rose I understand you must be so scared and worried, iv also had post menopause bleeding and I went to the dr in December I was told I was fast tracked for appointment with Gyn, I called the hospital to see when to expect an appointment but have been told there’s a waiting list for a few months for fast tracked appointments. This is causing me so much worry and I’m so scared. It’s so understandable you’re so afraid. If you want to vent I’m here

  • Thankyou so much.  It would be lovely to be in touch. I'm on my own. I'm 77.

my husband got diagnosed in November with Bowel Cancer.

Fingers crossed Rose everything will be ok x

Thankyou so much. Iam so sorry for both you and your husband.  This all came as a shock to me. Day before Christmas eve. I went to toilet just to "spend a penny" and when I wiped I was horrified to see some staining/blood.  Drs shut over Christmas so on Friday got emergency appt . I got the rude GP ( the others are nice.,,)redflagged me to hospital. Was seen on the 9th Jan there. Consultant was nice. Got vaginal scan thing & biopsy. Helen had to clamp my cervix open. And now This Thursday coming will be 2 weeks . Helen said he would write. And might need Hysteorcopy. And of course if cancer a lot more.  My husband died years ago and I have no family so I m terrified.   Also can someone please tell me if there is a way to sit after biopsy ( genuine question) as I have been lying on top of bed ( dressed of course) filling my time . With my legs stretching out or bent a little bit. And no pain. But Saturday I decided to sit for an hour in a chair and later had some cramps pain over my pubic  bone area.  After the dreadful procedure I think my cervix is still healing. But back lying up & walking ( to kitchen/bathroom and pain gone. All input will be greatly appreciated.
