Doctor calling tomorrow with my results. Should I be worried?

Hello All

I requested an appointment for a dermatologist to look at some freckles and moles on my arms and back just before Christmas and was seen by a nurse who took a few pictures with a dermasope to be looked at.

Fast forward to today and I’ve been told that a doctor will be calling me to discuss the results tomorrow.  I may be worrying about nothing but is this a bad sign? It has left me feeling very worried that they need to ring to discuss this.  Do they ever call to let you know everything is ok?

I may sound silly and if so sorry for wasting time.

Many thanks

  • Hello Isobelann

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some concerns about your skin health. You did exactly the right thing in seeking an assessment from a specialist and it's good to hear that you've already seen the dermatology nurse.

How did you get on with the appointment yesterday? I hope that the doctor was able to give you some reassurance.

If there's anything you'd like to talk through with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

    Best wishes,
