Feel in Limbo

Hi all, new to this. So it started around the beginning of December, I went to the doc thinking IBS, they agreed. Blood test taken, called in as highly abnormal LFT results. All went really quickly after that. Sent to hospital due to jaundiced, pain in right side had a ultrasound and CT. Was then sent for MRI and MRCP. There was a blockage of bile duct which has now gone but there is still a "narrowing", they have also seen 2 lesions on my liver. I have now got appointments for a PET-CT and ECPG. Had a consultation via video last week but due to the sound quality being very poor I think I may have missed a few things. Emailed and phoned to have a call but nothing as yet. I know everyone is different but just wondered if anyone has experienced the same and what the outcome was?

  • Hi Betty34,

I noticed that your post hasn't received a reply yet, so I just wanted to drop by and welcome you to the forum.

It sounds like you've been through a lot recently with all the tests and appointments, and I can imagine how overwhelming that must feel. Going through so many uncertainties can really take its toll.

While everyone’s journey is different, there are many people here who may have faced similar challenges with liver lesions or bile duct issues. I’m sure hearing their stories could help you feel a bit more supported and less isolated in what you're going through.

Sending you all the best as you move forward. I hope the next steps bring you the clarity you need.

    Take care,
