Tongue Biopsy

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some feedback on result wait times. I had a biopsy of my tongue on Saturday and had an e-letter yesterday to say I have to go back on the 28th February. 
I feel worried because the follow up has been arranged so quickly then on the other hand it’s 6 weeks away. I’m trying not to think about it but i can’t get it out of my mind

    It's a little difficult to advise on this, as wait times can vary a lot between different hospitals. It's good to hear that you have a date booked in already, although I appreciate this probably feels like quite a wait. It's not uncommon to wait this sort of time to hear more.

    Unfortunately it's not possible to read anything into the waiting time. Some people find it helpful to keep busy and focused on other things as much as possible while waiting, to help keep the mind off the worries as much as possible.

    In the meantime if others here have similar experience to share then hopefully you'll get some more replies soon.
