I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some health concerns which needed investigation via a colonoscopy. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious. 

The specialist will have told you that she believes they are benign based on her years of training and clinical expertise. It's likely that the polyps had particular features that reassured the specialist that there was nothing of immediate concern. 

What has the team said next about results or a follow-up appointment? Do get back in touch with your GP if you don't have a follow-up planned with the specialists and hopefully they will be bale to give you some reassurance.
