Gyne oncologyst

Merry Christmas All.

I have come on here. As Im Pertrified.

I lost my partner just over a year ago. But before all this i had a new contraceptive implant in.

Which to me hadnt sat right. bearing in mind this was my 5th implant. Im 44 years old so thought like most people it was perimeniporsal. And had quite a lot of loss in my life since june 2023

ive always had irregular periods due to the implant but.over the last year these had got heavier but shorter.

I have had hysterscopy and biospy of my womb and cervix on 10/11. The womb looked perfectly healthy but my cervix had roughness to this.

so they have refered me to Coloscopy( specialist in the cervix)

which i have appointment for 27/12

but also see a appointment for gyne oncology on the 06/01. Which nobody has rung me about.

Im Trying not to worry but i suffer with aneixty and im finding it hard.

Just after some advice. And if it anything to worry about that we have caught it early enough.

  • Hello Robem

I noticed that you have an appointment with the colposcopy team today. I just wanted to reply to say I hope that things go well. Do mention the appointment on the 6th to the team and explain that it has left you feeling anxious. Hopefully, they will be able to offer you some reassurance.

If you want to talk things through with one of our nurses you can call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (excluding bank holidays).
