Hello all sorry for the long post.
So my story is twice in just over 3 months I've had what I believe is thrush, don't really know why I've had this twice as I'm negative for diabetes this year and I'm not pregnant.
My latest episode started just over 10 days ago and I had a few over the counter treatments to budge it. Now It has gone down a lot but I've now been experiencing say 4-5 times a day this off white thick stringy discharge, there is no odor to this and Never has been any odour. A very slight itch but that's hardly happening now, also a ache on the arch of my back although I'm sure my anxiety is making this worse! I can't tell you how normal this discharge is for me as I only started to look down there myself during the thrush to keep an eye on things. I went to the doctor's yesterday and she examined me and told me the vaginal entrance looks sore and also discovered what she believes is cervical ectopy she said only part of half the cervix is affected.
I do have pcos so periods are never regular but I have had no irregular vaginal bleeding I believe, if I have it's nothing noticeable. No bleeding after sex but if my bf accidently hits my cervix its always hurt for a second but I thought this was normal if it goes in on the wrong way for all women. The doctor is hoping I'm due on my period and it will clear as there's no other reason I'd have this cervical ectopy as I'm not pregnant, I'm 36 and not on any pills. I had my last smear in February that didn't show the HPV which was great as I've had the HPV virus for 4 years with no abnormal cells and it's obviously cleared itself I was so happy with this news but then doesn't that mean they never would have tested for abnormal cells this time. The doctor has referred me for an urgent cancer check and I already managed to book one for Saturday as she has told me she can't be sure it isn't cancer,
God I'm a mess I'm finding it so hard to relax I have suffered with really bad health anxiety In the past to the point I've had counseling. I should hear back from the swabs by Friday for thrush or infections i can't help but think this could really be cancer because there's no reason looking at the leaflet why I'd get cervical ectopy also the thrush like symptoms twice in under 3 months and because I've been sent for an emergency appointment with the gynecologist. Just really need some support please thank you
