Hi
I find forums a safe space for speaking about my concerns or what may be happening with myself and promised that for the infamous googlers I would provide an update on my outcomes as throughout my medical history I found a bit of police in having the full picture in other people's journey's.
Anyways I am a 7 year breast cancer survivor that has gone through continuous tests and procedures, a ruptured implant, lumps and swollen lymph nodes that need checking etc. all of which without fail have sent me into a complete melt down up to and during the investigation phases.
Thankfully all the investigations I have had previously have turned out OK, reactive nodes, scar tissue etc.
Roll on 7 years, through a full blood workup my Gynae team arranged some blood tests (10 vials taken) to which I received the results through the app prior to receiving a follow up call. The results showed that my liver test results were abnormal but more or less was OK and within the limits. The only slight symptoms I have had is the occasional nausea and itching. Itching made worse by me thinking about itching.
The abnormal results were:
AST 105
ALT 178
ALP 261
They have recommended some additional screening including an ultrasound, hepatitis screening and myeloma screening.
Does anyone have any experience with these types of elevated levels. My GP was asking if I have had any other symptoms like vomiting blood or clear stools but I've not experienced this. These results have come as a complete shock (not that I think that things should be perfect) but I have not really been experiencing things that would have made me conscious of any liver issues.
I work out 5 times a week, have recently taken a break from tamoxifen but have been on vitamin B complex high dosage and vitamin d3.
Would just like to speak with anyone as I think I'm doing my partners head in due to my worries without going through all the tests first. However for me as a cancer patient I often feel like I am playing Russian roulette which really isn't great for my mental.
