My daughter recently had a similar situation. She too went to medical illustrations. It was looked at and was decided that they wanted to remove it and do a biopsy. We were very anxious waiting for the results. Fortunately it came back to be non cancerous. So I think that if they look at your mole and think it  is the least bit worrying they will remove it and do a biopsy. I hope it all goes well.
