stomach issues

Hello forum! I suffer with healthy anxiety and probably making a big issue out of something that is not big, but just thought I would enquire.

Had stomach cramps Monday night just before bed, didn't think much of it, but woke in middle of night with more cramps. Tuesday morning i felt awful, felt like moderate flu, very tired and shivery, as well as intermittent stomach cramps.Yesterday i felt much better in myself, pretty much back to normal but again stomach cramping, it's not located in any particular place in my abdomen but it gravitates around that area. It feels worse when i am on my feet and especially walking. It's not constant but when it flares up i really feel it. I wouldn't describe it as severe pain, just cramping. Today( Thursday) it was very moderate until about tea time, when i had a flare up. ( Again it was generalised cramping not in a particular place)

I know I'm probably freaking out here over nothing, but mr google tells you everything you don't want to hear. I don't like visiting docs and I know that's probably what will be advised here. I feel fine in myself, just wondered what the forum think??

Ty.

  • I should add, my stools are normal. I had a digital rectal exam a year ago because i had a little bleeding, that came back with no red flags .was told it was probably internal haemrroids. I haven't lost my appetite., but my stomach is noisy.

  • I too suffer with health anxiety and stomach issues. It's chicken and egg sometimes but anxiety definitely causes digestive discomfort. There's a long list of things that aren't sinister that could be causing your symptoms. Im not medically trained but it could just be a bug, give it a little longer, try things like ginger, peppermint tea, and paracetamol for pain. If it doesn't ease up after a week, consider seeing your GP.
