Tumour on Perivesical Fat outside bladder wall. Very uncommon and they don't know what it is

Hello all - our MRI has come back and completely stumped the Consultant. There is a tumour on the Perivesical Fat outside the bladder and attached to the bladder wall - however nothing inside the bladder.

They are saying that this is really uncommon and they have no idea what it could be,

Does anyone have any insight or experience in this area & what the Tumour may be?

Many thanks

  • Hello Shani101

I'm sorry to hear that you've been told that you have an uncommon tumour in the perivesical fat outside your bladder and that at the moment the specialists are unsure what this could be. It's understandable that you have questions and concerns.

What has the Consultant said about the next steps? Are more tests required? Or perhaps a referral to another team? Hopefully you won't have to wait too long before the specialists are able to give you some clearer answers about your situation.

In the meantime if you'd like to talk with one of our nurses I know they would be happy to listen and offer any advice and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Do keep in touch Shani and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
