Hi. Im 45 and ive recently done a fit test. My Dr rang and told me to prepare for the worse as even she was shocked with how high my results were. She gave me a course of antibiotics incase it was diverticulitis and she said I was high priority so ive been put on a 2ww.

I rang the hospital and they've told me because I was treated for diverticulitis they won't be seeing me till after 22nd December. Im so stressed and extremely upset that they're making me wait this long for answers. 

My question is is this right considering ive been placed on a 2ww. Why can't I have my colonoscopy and get my results back ASAP so I know what I'm dealing with. Why do I need to wait 8 weeks and put me at an even higher risk if it is cancer.
