Possible tonsil cancer..

Hey

So basically I am freaking out.

Little back story.. I lost my mother to breast cancer when I was 13, she was 38. I then lost my dad to throat cancer when I was 25. He was 50. (Hence the freaking out)

Where to start..

Hubby works away, when I see him he always looks to be suffering with tonsilitus (that's what I assumed anyway) one very large tonsil!!!

Roughly 4/5 weeks ago my partner got referred to ENT. We thought this was to discuss his relentless suffering of tonsilitus. During appointment, he had camera and pics taken. ENT said he is to have MRI (to cross the Ts and dot the Is) and the tonsils will be out immediately And will be sent to lab.

I walked away knowing exactly what they meant by all this.  Testing for tonsil cancer! Through us both off and has done since

Anyways. He's had the pre op. The op should be in the next 2 weeks. MRI was on Monday (its now thursday) they need the mri images before the op obviously.  When the hell will he get the mri results back?? It's consuming my mind so bad , bringing so much old trauma up and we need this results yesterday!!

  • I'm sorry, losing your parents so young is awful. It's completely reasonable to freak out under the circumstances of your experiences. It's horrible when you are waiting for results even without the trauma and grief you've suffered. I really hope it's just a sensitive tonsil and the operation is the end of it. Keep us posted x
