Septum cancer

Has anyone any experience of septum cancer? Symptoms, what tests are performed. Any knowledge at all as I believe it's fairly rare.

  • Hi Oscar22,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I wanted to send a reply to your post to give it a little boost, so hopefully you'll get more replies - particularly if any others with similar experience see it.

We have some information on our website about nasal and paranasal sinus cancer, in case this is relevant or useful for you.

If you have any concerns or questions do also discuss these with your doctor as they will be best placed to advise.

    Wishing you all the best,

  • Hi Oscar

I have had treatment for sinonasal cancer. Mine started with one blocked nostril and then loss of my ability to smell. Squamous cell carcinoma. I had a biopsy, then surgery, but it couldn't all be removed, so I had 7 weeks of chemoradiation treatment which finished around 11 weeks ago. I'm getting a scan nex week to find out if the treatment worked. The treatment is similar for squamous cell carcinoma in the nose as for squamous cell carcinoma on the tongue, in the tonsils etc. It's just adapted for the individual. If you have any specific questions feel free to message me if you want to.
