Colonoscopy

Hi all, my daughter has had a FIT reading of 71 which has prompted a colonoscopy booked for this Friday . She today received an appointment letter for the following Tuesday. Is this normal procedure? She had an ne about a year ago and did not need this appointment so this is causing me to worry. Any advice would be appreciated x

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. To be honest I'm not sure how common this is - different hospitals may do things slightly differently, particularly depending on their current waiting lists. It may just be that an appointment was available at that time and that this can be used as a follow-up.

    You (or your daughter) can of course raise any questions or concerns at the initial appointment, to help with understanding what to expect.
