So many tests feeling fobbed off

Since April I had diarrhoea  for 6 weeks  with abdominal  bloating all bowel cancer tests and bloods  were clear told it could be ibs  then june severe left hip pain xray shows slight osteoporosis given pain killer then july (still bloating and having to pee all the time) tested for overian  cancer just blood test ? OKthey said  did a smear  test and that was high grade abnormal  cells sent for colposcopy   with in 2 weeks she didn't see anything so sent away no biopsy  done ... case went to medical review then sent letter oct yes it is  what smear test said you need lletz procdure booked for 14 Nov at same time still have pain massive solid bloated tummy weight gain but not eating much so ultrasound  done I'm sure it was overian  cancer but it is abnormal  ? But  Benign  lesion on rt lobe liver 4cm booked for mir with contrast  its OK Don't worry its Benign dr over phone says

all I keep getting is don't worry its not cancer  no the liver things not linked to the cervical  thing only seen my gp twice  and the colposcopy Dr once everything  else has just been constant referrals for tests when i  ring  gp says you've had all the tests nothing else is going on "your over thinking it" but I know my body and I'm not right  I'm so scarred about the lletz and now this thing on my liver  now got a nagging pain low abdomen  so just taking pain killers because ive only just had ultrasound  and said everything  around my liver and overys were ok sorry just had to off load because  my gp dosnt seem to want to listen  because he's just reading results and not looking at me as a person

  • Hi Sosmall,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. It sounds like you're dealing with a lot of uncertainty at the moment which I'm sure is difficult, and I can imagine it is frustrating if you feel the doctor isn't listening too.

It's good to hear you've had various tests although I appreciate you don't have the information you need. I'm not sure if you're still waiting for tests or results, but if so then hopefully you can get some answers soon.

Keep in touch with your doctor with questions and if you need to chase for information, and also if you're struggling with any issues in the meantime.

I hope you can find out more soon. Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
