I'm afraid biopsy results are taking much longer these days. The surgeon should have given you some indication as when to expect them back. Waiting times differ slightly depending on what type of cancer you have - all I know is that melanoma biopsy results are taking an average of 4 weeks at the moment. If you haven't heard anything by later this week I would suggest contacting the consultant's secretary of the department you are under & ask if they can give you an idea as to how long they are taking. Yeah, my biopsy results for an ovarian cyst took 4 weeks 3.5 years ago. It wasn't cancer but I'm sorry to say I don't think you can glean the results of biopsy from how long they take. Histology just has a back log.

I live in the North and my results took five weeks. The wait was a nightmare but there was nothing I could do. Sadly, you just have to bear it.

Hi, I’m in Cheshire and it’s 3 weeks tomorrow since my biopsy with no results. Not sure whether I’m waiting for a letter, phone call or something through the app. I spoke to the consultants secretary who said how long it takes is absolutely no indication of the seriousness of the results. It’s so hard just waiting x

I had my biopsy on the 16th Nov finally got my results yesterday

I had biopsy’s on my breast  and a lymph node on Saturday and was given an appointment to get the results which is the 28th I assume it must be different in different areas ! I hope you had news by now x
