Hi … been reading through these posts which has helped but I’m still so worried. About a month ago I started to had excessive wind, with some jelly like mucus coming out. Then noticed blood when wiping , which then made me start looking at my stools. This also had blood in. 
I feel fine and no pain. I thought perhaps piles after abo it a week I started to worry and booked a GP appointment. They didn’t seem to concerned did an examination to see if could feel and lumps or bumps and couldn’t. I lost a friend to bowel cancer last year and always have irritable bowls so last September I went and said can I have anything checked for peace of mind. I was given a fit test which came back at level 8 and no further action needed. We are now a year on and noticed blood and mucus and excessive gas. They decided to give me two stool tests one being calprocton and the other fit. My calproctin came in at 2170 !! As you can imagine I went into panic mode they said wait for for test result and see .. this then came back at 200 ! I have been in a complete state because they then put me on a 2 week referral for a colonoscopy, I have private health so called them up to see if I could have a colonoscopy sooner , they booked me in with a consultant the following morning . I have to say the nhs were great as they called me that day offering me a colonoscopy a week and half later but I just couldn’t bare to wait . I saw the consultant and broke down crying saying symptoms and said all the referral letters and my nhs app say ‘ suspected cancer’ not been able to sleep well have little girls so just in a state. He seemed confident it wasn’t the big C . Though no one can tell me that till have the colonoscopy, he said the high caloric tin indicates an inflammation and they don’t tend to look into anything more than results at 600 he did explain but didn’t quite understand. His words were I’d be amazed if we are sat here next week and talking about cancer I then cried again in relief . I had a gastric sleeve this year in may so he said he wanted to do a camera down the throat also to look at my tummy/ gut. I came away feeling calmer for sure but now the procedures are tomorrow I am worried sick again incase I do amaze him and it is cancer! Just so worried about the results and nervous of the procedures . It’s made me need to go to the loo more ( probably the worry and stress) but this mucus is bad I passed wind this morning and all this jelly came out into pjs something mad is going on inside as never had this before, sometimes that just comes out and no stool .. I will update on here after tomorrow just so worried :(
