Hello Spud-07,
Our information page on the MRI scan mentions that you normally would get your results within 1 or 2 weeks but these are just estimates and it is not uncommon for these to come through earlier or later so don't read anything into the fact that the results were in 3 days after. The good side of this is that you have less time to wait for these important answers as the wait for results is never easy and we have some helpful tips I suggest you have a look at to help you cope while waiting for important news.
It is normal to feel unsettled and I am keeping everything crossed for you that it turns out to be nothing of concern. Have you managed to access the results already or will you be having an appointment soon to discuss these?
I hope that you will hear from others on the forum who have been through something similar before and that they will drop by and say hello and share their experience with you.
Best wishes,

Hi
My husband had an MRI on his pancreas which came back in 3 days. They had found something unusual that they wanted to do more investigation on - but we took it as a positive because it meant things were moving quickly to identify and clarify if there was anything untoward and to get treatment started.
I would prepare yourselves just in case more tests or treatment are needed but it may just be that and nothing sinister.
Wishing you a good result
Jackie
Thank you for your reply.
our next stage is a biopsy on Friday. Just feels so unknown at this stage

I think that’s the hard part - the unknown - and the waiting of course…
At least when you have the results you can deal with them and know where you stand.
hope you’re not kept waiting too long and that the outcome is good.
