Hi all just found two nodules one 8mm on left and one 2cm on the right .. graded U3 . I am due to have a FNA asap do you know if a partner can go with me ? I’m super nervous about having it.. many thanks for any advice x
I am sorry to hear that you are so nervous about the FNA. As far as I know, there is no reason why your partner cannot accompany you. Mine certainly came with me. I know that protocols can vary between hospitals, so why not phone your specialist breast care nurse to be sure that he can be with you.
The procedure is very straightforward and you'll probably wonder why you worried so much about it, once it's been done.

I've just come across your post. If it is any reassurance, I had a FNA of thyroid nodule only last week, it was similar to having bloods done, just a quick sharp scratch, it was a bit weird but not painful and was over in minutes. I hope this helps a lIttle. I am just awaiting final results but was told on the day everything so far looks good (I attended a one stop lump clinic which has turned out to be a two stop clinic!).
