Hi, I’m Cher aged 43. I have lots of horrible symptoms that seem to be pointing towards lymphoma;

itchy skin mainly on arms & legs

head aches

neck, shoulder & chest pains

dry cough 

loose teeth & bleeding gums 

pain in breasts & behind ear

pain in jaw when opened wide

swollen hands & feet

depression & anxiety

bone pain

sore throat 

fatigue

dizzIness

feeling poorly-flu like

brain fog

poor concentration 

forgetfulness 

shortness of breath 

I honestly feel as though I’m dropping to bits. Has anyone else had such a huge list of symptoms? I’ve been to GP. He’s referred me for a chest X-ray which I’m having tomorrow, & bloods which is booked for next Thursday. My uncle & my Grandad both died from leukaemia. My Mam had a really rare cancer that started at the base of the skull & went up the back of her nose, filled her sinus cavity & then went round her eye & up to her brain. I feel very alone right now. I’ve got the best husband, kids, family & friends around me, but I’m not sharing my thoughts & fears with them. I’m just waiting to have these tests done first.

    I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with a long list of health concerns at the moment. It's understandable that you're feeling worried. 

    It's good to know that you've already seen your GP and they have started some investigations. Whilst it's understandable, given your family history, that you're worried these symptoms may be indicative of cancer, it's also important to remember that they could be associated with many other different health conditions. 

    Hopefully, the chest x-ray and blood tests will bring some reassurance and help your GP get to the bottom of what is going on for you. In the meantime, if you think it may be helpful to chat things through with one of our nurses for some advice and support you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any information and reassurance they can.

    Hi, yes I have most of your symptoms that you listed, they found a mass pushing from outside onto my stomach, I feel so scared like you as I'm a young mum my youngest being 2 months old, it's the waiting that's the worst and I have severe health anxiety I feel like I'm living in a nightmare, there's only one way to go and that's forward as we have no choice, sorry your going through this as well and I'm glad you have friends and family for support!

    I’m sorry to hear that Kay. I too have bad health anxiety, & the waiting is killing me. I’d rather just no. Have you told anyone what you’re going through? You can talk to me anytime. I really hope you’re ok, especially for your little one. Sending you a huge hug.

    Thank you cher for your lovely message, I told my dad and my close friends, my dad thinks I'm going to be ok so does my partner he says I've got nothing to worry about, it's so scary as I don't know what they are going to say to me they could call me this week I'm just praying Friday will come so I can have the weekend respite from worrying, when are you expecting g results?

    I’m having bloods taken on Thursday, so when they are back I’ll get a call. It’s easy to say, distract your mind, & try not to think about it. The thing is, when your worried, every thought you have comes back to those results, that phone call, what if……..  I honestly do believe that everything happens for a reason, even if that reason isn’t always clear. Sometimes it’s easier to say how you’re feeling & what you think to a stranger. I promise I’ll always reply to your messages, so if you need to talk, or rant, get angry or get upset, just message me.     I've just had my ct scan results and they are all clear there's nothing there, I'm not gonna lie I'm so relieved, I found out by contacting the doctor over something else, I'm here for you please stay in contact with me and if you want to exchange numbers I will be happy to do that
