Hello DTW

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some problems with passing blood. It's good to hear that you've already seen your GP and that an appointment with the Gastro team has been made. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious.

We know that for many people this period of waiting and uncertainty can be difficult. It can sometimes help to talk things through with someone and I wonder if you might find it helpful to talk with one of our nurses ahead of your appointment next week. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. If you'd like to talk with them they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.
