Lumps - scared of lymphoma

okay so i’m 20F, a healthy person physically but mentally i have th worst health anxiety ever. around 5 months ago i found a lump deep into my armpit, i went to the doctors and she sent me for a mammogram. the lady checked me before the mammogram and said she is not worried about the lump because it didn’t change the whole time it was there. it is still here. i recently have discovered a small lump in my neck, definitely feels like a lymph node as it isn’t rock solid but definitely isn’t soft. i cant stop worrying. it’s only be a couple days so want to leave it to see if it goes down, however i may book a doctors appointment. for the armpit lump, i had blood tests done and everything was good - apart from low vitamin D and low iron which i have now sorted through vitamins. apart from that all my levels were good.

can anyone give me some advice or reassurance?

  • Welcome to the forum as146 although I'm sorry for the stress and worry the lump in your armpit and newly discovered lump in your neck are causing.

Many of our members know how scary it is to come across unexplained lumps like these, so you are not alone as146, and I'm sure you will receive some support and advice soon.

If you start to find your health anxiety is becoming unmanageable it may be worth speaking to your GP about this if you haven't done so already. In the meantime, I hope these tips given on the NHS website for managing anxiety will help.

We're sending you all our support as146 and will have our fingers crossed everything will be o.k.

    Kind regards,
