  • Hi Gina1985,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

Many moles are harmless, but I can understand your worry. This sounds ridiculous, you cannot be expected to make a diagnosis on this basis. Surely, this is something that your GP should have done? Please go back to your surgery and see another GP. Tell them what happened at your last visit and that you would rather that they advised you. If there is the least doubt, they should refer your daughter to see a dermatologist to make sure. I certainly wouldn't accept this with a child of this age.

My husband recently had a Basal Cell Sarcoma removed from his back. We had attended his GP up to 6 times about this and been told that it was harmless. When we moved house and saw another GP, he was immediately referred to a Plastic Surgeon and had it removed within a couple of weeks - there's no point in just accepting things - sometimes we have to push to get things done!

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
