Ca125 elevated levels

Hi, I'm 28 and have just found out my CA125 level is 40 i must add that i was on my period when i had this test done, not sure if thats why it was elevated but I've been having some bloating occasionally, feeling full, stomach and back pain and fatigue, struggling with heavier periods,lost of libido and painful intercourse, I'm absolutely petrified I've got ovarian cancer, I've just been referred for a scan but I feel like I've already been told it's cancer, I've read so much online and I've just freaked myself out, I have a young daughter and I'm scared it's cancer, anyone else had these symptoms and it's been okay.

    I'm sorry to hear your ca125 levels are raised and for the worry they and your current symptoms are causing.

    As you'll see on the target ovarian cancer website, many different things such as endometriosis, your period and ovarian cysts can cause the level of ca125 in your blood to rise but it's good to hear your GP is being thorough and referred you for a scan to make sure everything is ok.

    Hi there 

    I had the same thing , elevated blood result and enlarged ovary had a TV scan and called in so was so scared , but everything was fine , just one of those things , also could be endemetreosis, I had loating I’ve lost weight and pain so thought the worst , but all ok so you’ll be fine

    I’m due for my blood test on Monday and waiting for an ultrasound and bowel test, the pain in my right hand side of stomach is getting worse daily, I’m bloated and my legs ache, I’ve got lower back pain and some discharge  I also have low appetite but I wonder if this is caused by anxiety and stress? Iam due to go abroad on my hen do in a weeks time and I feel awful that Iam so stressed and not looking forward to it when people have paid a lot of money to go.  If I feel like this or worse in a weeks time I don’t know what I’ll do! I can’t concentrate on anything I just keep goggling symptoms and have convinced myself it’s cancer, I’ve previously had a hysterectomy 5 years ago due to fibroids but kept my ovaries.  I feel your stress !

    I've had my results back now and  have endometriosis, but those few weeks of waiting was he'll you always think the worse, I hope your results are okay.
