I'm sorry to hear of your struggles with this - I am sure the uncertainty must be difficult to deal with. You've done the right thing in seeing your doctor and it's good to hear you have a referral as this will mean you should get the answers you need soon.

I hope that it's not long to wait for the appointment for this. In the meantime, try to avoid looking things up online as this often only tends to increase worries. It can be helpful instead to try to keep busy and focus on other things as much as possible - I know this is easier said than done.
