My Dad has been unwell for a couple of months and has had a few scans where they said he has enlarge lymph nodes in his pelvis area.  They have yesterday taken 4 biopsies from his neck and said there are a couple of enlarged lymph nodes there.

Not sure what to expect now, his GP used the word lymphoma when we were there just before she admitted him to hospital due to dehydration.

I am supposed to be going on holiday next Sunday. Please don't think I'm just concerned about this because i have a holiday coming up as i will cancel this no problem as i wouldn't want my sister and mother to be dealing with things alone.  How long approx does it take for biopsy results to be given?  Is this something we will have to wait weeks on.  Will they start treatment immediately should he need it?

Appreciate your time, we just don't know what to do or know what will come next.
