Hi Beaumont44,
I just wanted to say we are thinking of you during this stressful time. I guess the MDT meeting was today and I hope that you get an appointment soon to find out exactly what is going on. It's completely normal to be scared when dealing with all this uncertainty at the moment and after having been through all these tests.
Let us know what you find out - you are not alone though and many members of our community have been through this before and will hopefully come and say hello soon and share their stories with you. While you are waiting, as there is nothing harder than waiting for a diagnosis, I thought I would share with you our helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for news.
Best wishes,

Thankyou for your response , nothing today but hoping a phonecall in the morning x
Hi I have been reading your story. I am waiting for my daughter to get her results following a colonoscopy they found a polyp 4cm quite large. Biopsy done, Ct scan and MRI the waiting is terrible. Your story sounds very familiar to my daughters. Hope you are feeling ok.
Hi yes you're right the waiting is terrible and they told me at colonoscopy that it was looking like cancer but obv until the tests are done wasnt confirmed , that month was horrendous , but most polys are non cancerous so fingers crossed your daughter will be ok , I felt so much better on diagnosis although not the best outcome I feel positive and the doctors did too , find out treatment plan on weds for chemo , im scared but just need to get sorted and back to normal , hope your daughter is ok , and also you with the worry xx
Thank you for your reply, unfortunately the biopsy results came back inconclusive which means she now has to have the colonoscopy done again and wait again for the results. I hope all goes well for you.
Sorry to hear that , the waiting is just the worst , try stay positive but I do know it's hard , most ployps aren't cancerous but still dosent help the worry , il be thinking about you both .
Hi Beverley
Sorry to hear about all of your trauma. I didn't know chemo can affect the kidneys. I suppose it would/could. I have nothing compared to a lot of people (I think - not confirmed, well I don't have a clue right now), but I have had CKD for over 20 years and I am protective of my kidneys, thus. Hmmm. A complication. I am already saying no to most things. I cancelled everything in my diary that I could, just with the stress of waiting, which has been over 4 months. That alone is enough to send a person crazy. It sent me crazy, especially with the information being so minimal, varying and confusing. I am so pleased your surgery went well and I am so sorry you now face such a difficult decision regarding your kidney health. Wow, the pressure is phenomenal. I feel for you.
Ooh, 4 months and no reply. Are you okay, Beaumont?
Hi not sure where message has come from lol ..im ok on last chemo , scans on 5th Dec, hope you're OK x
Ooh, sorry, I just realised one needs to page along. It is nice to see you two have been chatting all these months, Beaumont and Nannynic.
It just won't go away, will it? Such helplessness. Very frustrating. Hugs.
I'm feeling quite positive that it will go away..well after surgery, sending hugs too x
