Thank you for sharing your experience Beau and Nanny. I had a Sigmoidoscopy last week expecting it to be piles but they found a 3cm rectal mass which they are pretty sure is an adenocarcenoma. I’ve had CT and MRI scans and today is the MDT meeting so awaiting an appointment. I’m petrified. I have had no symptoms other than a very small amount of occasional bleeding. No weight loss, pain, change in bowel symptoms etc. although today I went for a walk and had to rush home to go to the bathroom and didn’t think I was going to make it. This is making me think it’s spread. I didn’t go to the gp for a few months as the symptoms were so minimal. You are both dealing with it so well x

Hi wow your story mirrors mine , I in hindsight before I saw blood did have different bowel movements but just put it down to diet , urgency going to toilet is a symptom as I've learnt , waiting for diagnosis was without a doubt the worst bit for me , once I knew and my treatment was in place I felt alot better, obvs not the best outcome ! Hopefully yours will be a better one , mines is 3 cm too , im on my last cycle of chemo on Friday, then scan and surgery at a later date , thinking about you , keep intouch xx

Morning how weird I was just about to message you , my chemo fri was the worst yet but also the last , in pain with hands and arm but eased a bit now , how is your daughter doing? And yourself ? Xx

You must feel relieved chemo is done? My daughter has her 3 round of chemo Wednesday.  She has just messaged me she is badly constipated and it is hurting where the tumour is.  She has an appointment at the hospital today for blood, I said she needs to mention it to her oncologist xx

I feel so relieved just the nxt step to think about but I've no scan date as yet, maybe the pain is from being constipated luckily your daughter seeing oncologist today they can give her something for it to ease the pain too bless her , let me know how she gets on xx

Not too bad , still sore hands but definitely eased from fri , feel tired today but had a good walk so to be expected , has her pain eased from earlier? Xx

Hopefully she's resting if she can, so hard for you , I've been out with my mum today and don't really think I've taken in the impact on her, and everyone around me xx

It is tough I just want this to be all over, but I know we have a long way to go yet and surgery x
