After colonoscopy, doctors think I may have rectal cancer - never been so scared

After my colonoscopy the doctors words were a blur but indicates serious and cancer , had ct scan mri and cpex in morning, weds is mdt meeting then I assume I'll get an appt to see what's happening , I have never been as scared in my life .

  • Thank you my daughter has gone to the hospital I have my granddaughter for the day/night x

  • Hi been thinking about you all, hope you're daughter is ok after yesterday, and you too xx

  • Hi yes first round done she had some symptoms fairly quickly.  I am exhausted had my granddaughter all day yesterday and over night then work today.  Hopefully things will get easier over time xx

  • At least she's on the road to recovery now , it's so hard all round for everyone, but yes it can only get easier ..take care xx

  • You to rest up and look after yourself xx

  • Morning just checking in to see how you and your daughter are getting on? Im looking forward to my week off tablets , getting me down a little bit taking them but same again no choice ..lots of love xx

  • Morning my daughter is ok having some side effects she feels she might not be able to continue with the 3 drugs they may have to reduce it, which they said might be the case.  She has said already she is in less pain from the tumour and no blood in her stools, this is good news her cancer nurse said this is a sign the chemo is working already.  You stay positive cancer is so cruel, I never imagined that my daughter would be going through this. Lots of love to you xx

  • Good morning just  checking in to see how you and your daughter are doing? I'm on my week off tabs thank god , half way there now! It's good that the chemo is working for your daughter , I hope she got sorted this week with the amount she's having and hope side effects aren't too bad , suppose its trial and error to get the right amount of treatment that's reducing her tumour but also not too bad to cope with..lots of love xxx

  • Morning I was just about to den yiu a message was just thinking of you.  Hope you are ok? My daughter has struggled mainly with tiredness she is taking steroids which cause insomnia and her fingers are tingling, she goes back Monday blood tests and to see her oncologist, she may ask to reduce the amount.  She really has struggled looking after her daughter.  I have gone down with a rotten cold so need to keep my distance so Beth does not get it.  Have a good weekend, have you any plans? Lots of love xx

  • The tingling is so hard to explain cause it sounds like it's nothing to someone that hasnt experienced it but it has been one of the worst side effects I've had, I suppose its because I have the chemo through a canula in my hand , both hands have had it now and both have to have it again, I also have tingling in my throat for first wk and half ish after chemo , it must be really hard for your daughter with a 3 year old , awww bless you that's last thing you need at the minute but yeah I'm mindful of not being around too many people and my friends keep away if poorly, cold is something everyone seems to have at the minute, hope your feeling better soon look after yourself while you're also looking after your daughter, im out for brunch this morn and shopping, my life just seems to be tablets and coffee dates lol ..sending lots of love to you all xxx
