Polyps found on scan but not on camera/hysteroscopy. No-one has explained why this is and my symptoms haven't improved

Hi all had my Transvaginal scan and was told I had several polyps but nothing else then had a hysteroscopy and was told there were no polyps and the lining of my womb was normal so was very relieved no cancer but no one has explained why polyps were seen on the scan but not on the camera I’m still loosing weight feel tired all the time all the same symptoms basically but no bleeding was still bleeding lightly at the scan but not at the camera test I’m still awaiting the results of the biopsy on my leg but they did not do a biopsy when I had my camera test sorry if I’m rambling but my head is a bit of a mess at the moment and not sure what I should do next

  • Hi Anyone-is-me and welcome to the forum.

I'm glad to hear the lining of your womb is normal although I'm sorry no one has explained the discrepancy between the polyps that were found on our scan but not on your hysteroscopy. If you haven't done so yet, do try and speak to your GP about this as they may be able to tell you more, or put you in touch with someone that can. You can also tell them that your symptoms are not improving so they can investigate this further.

I do hope you receive some support and advice from some of our members soon but if you'd like to discuss any of this with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all they can to address your worries and concerns.

The waiting and uncertainty is never easy, but our community are here for you Anyone-is-me and we'll have our fingers crossed for a good outcome.

    Kind regards,
