29 & a 1 year old son - the wait is the worst!

I noticed my right areola was dry a few weeks back and moisturised which helped it improve for a short period, anyway it’s back but no worse and a smidge itchy but nothing too extreme.

I went to the doctors yesterday and they told me to try a steroid cream for 2 weeks & if it didn’t improve they would send me for testing.

Although nothing is confirmed I’m hugely fearful. I am only 29 with a 1 year old little boy and got engaged 2 months ago.

im trying to hold onto the Hope that I have no present lumps in my breasts or armpits, no pain, no discharge, no rashes and no ‘other’ symptoms other than what appears to be white dry skin.

im fearful in Pagets Disease - google makes it worse!

anyone else in the trenches of limbo?!!

  • Hello Keden,

You are so right when you say waiting is the worst - and this is something many of our members will agree with, that being in limbo is so hard and when you find yourself in limbo, it is tempting and a natural reaction to try and find answers by consulting Google thinking that Google will know it all and provide you with a bit of clarity and make you feel better. Sadly, as we all know, because we've all done it, this is usually not the case and Dr Google often only manages to send us in panic mode.

You did well to go to the doctor's about this and all you can do is follow the doctor's advice for now and hopefully the steroid cream will work but if there is no improvement do go back to the doctor's. In the meantime, there is, as you say, no reason to be fearful and I thought I would share with you our helpful tips to help you cope in the coming weeks as you are waiting to see if you need further tests or if the cream does the trick.

I will now let our members who have been through something similar come and say hello and share their story with you!

    Best wishes,
