Recital Mass

Hi all, I am new here. I am a 39 year old woman who due to some bowel changes (blood and mucus and urgency) had to have a digital examination by a doctor, who has found a mass.

she has referred me to have urgent tests including the FIT test to detect blood just wondering if the FIT test comes back normal will the Colorectal doctor still see me to detect what that mass is or will they assume I am okay because there’s no blood?

I have lost 5lbs in weight in a month and as a diabetic as well they aren’t worried I however am, as I am not actively trying to lose weight.

I have also felt full which is unusual as I am a huge eater.

i am extremely tired and I get breathless just going to the shop it’s taking me ages to get there.

Will they just leave me so ill which is what I feel or should they still see me as I read if FIT test negative they say you won’t have bowel Cancer.

I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through. It sounds like a very worrying time for you. Please know that you are not alone here.

Regarding the FIT test, it's likely that your doctor will schedule more exams to get a clearer picture of what's going on. However, it's difficult for us to predict the next steps since only your doctor knows the particularities of your case. In the meantime, if you feel that speaking to someone with a medical background might help, please know our team of nurses are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on this freephone 0808 800 4040.
