really anxious waiting for colonscopy results

I had a colonoscopy last Saturday and I know they found a polyp which may well be benign but also a 'dysplastic tumour' in the colon which sounds rather nasty, particularly as it is 30mm  size.

Biopsies were taken and I'm now waiting for result

When I look up the Cancer UK website it seems to say that these should be about 2 weeks but I'm really worried that people are waiting so long. The NHS trust website for our area says up to 8 weeks - oh dear!

    Such a worrying time for you ! 
    I have recently been diagnosed with bowel cancer & I was told at the time of my colonoscopy. 
    did your consultant give you any indication after the procedure? 
    mine told me he was 99% sure it was cancer and I was sent straight for a CT scan that day & confirmed in a MDT meeting the following week.

    Thank you. And for you. I’m very glad you got such a  prompt response. He only told me he’d found something but needed the biopsy results to be sure what has to be done. I’ll just have to learn to be patient!
