Hard lump right side of neck

Hi

I noticed a small lump about 18 months ago on the right side of my neck. I didn't seek advice as I'd had scan for swollen neck a few years previous and just assumed a thyroid nodule. Fast forward to now and I've lost about 2.5 stone(been healthy eating) and can now really feel this lump which has got larger. It's hard, painless amd moves when I swallow. Before I had to feel around for it, now I can touch it  very easily.

Saw GP a few days ago and they referred me for urgent scan which is In 1 week and did some blood tests there and then.

I've goggled and scared myself silly! Other symptoms I have is extreme tiredness, never feel like going anywhere and it's even hard work just drying my hair.  I've suffered with anemia but currently blood work for anemia is looking good.

Anyone with similar experience? I just have a really bad feeling about it!

Thanks :)

  • Welcome to the forum LAJ79, although I'm sorry to hear about the lump on your neck and the other symptoms you've been contending with.

I know this must be a very scary and worrying time, but hopefully the scan you've been referred for will be able to give you some much needed answers and peace of mind.

Many of our members have been in similar situations, so you are not alone LAJ79, and I'm sure it won't be long until some of them stop by to offer their support and advice.

We're thinking of you LAJ79 and wishing you all the best for next week.
