Hysteroscopy tomorrow perhaps

Hi I haven’t had a diagnosis as yet was due hysteroscopy on Thursday but I couldn’t have it due to complex medical conditions. Now I am seeing gynaecological oncologist tomorrow and I am so scared. I have been working myself up all week, mt asthma is bad and my lupus s flaring. I had 3 days of spotting at beginning of June an unremarkable tt/v scan which showed as thickened endometrial lining of 11mm I am 47, haven’t had proper period since April 22 but have been on steroids for 32 years! Tonight I am imagining all sorts, worst case scenarios and I just feel so alone

  • Honeybubbles- I  know what you mean about feeling alone. No matter how good friends and family are at supporting you, it’s you who have got to go through all these tests and procedures . I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow. The waiting for appointments and results is crucifying! I’m wondering if  they couldn’t do the hysteroscopy on Thursday, what might they do differently so that they can do it tomorrow? I have learnt to try and tackle 1 appointment at a time. The tests will all be helping doctors get a picture of what’s going on for you. Try and keep off Google- it knows nothing about your medical history/ current presentation and it always ends up with the worst case scenario! (Easier said than done I know!) My lining is 20mm and I have for now been put on Progesterone tablets to prevent it becoming thicker.
Good luck for tomorrow- please let us know how you get on when you feel you can. X
