Worried sick

Hi

I have been referred to breast clinic (3rd time in 5 years) as i have found a breast lump on my right breast. I try and feel the lump, i can only describe it as oval and when i try and touch it it does move from under my fingers. I do have lumpy breasts any way but this feels as if there is a few lumps near each other. I am so so scared, i have two little kids and i really dont want to leave them with out a mum. I am 34 years old.
I only saw the gp on tuesday and i have a appointment in breast clinic on monday (less than a week wait) which has made me even more worried

  • Hello Cookie1234

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently found another breast lump. You've done exactly the right thing in seeing your GP and it's good to hear that you've already been given an appointment at the breast clinic.

It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about seeing the specialists on Monday. Try to keep in mind that the large majority of people who are seen at a breast clinic are not diagnosed with cancer.

If it would help to talk things through with one of our nurses for some support before your appointment you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Let us know how you get on at your appointment Cookie1234. We'll be thinking of you.

    Best wishes,
