Hey all so I have a mole just under my eye that I have had an urgent 2week referral for and I am freaking out a little if they have to take a biopsy it's right near my eye! Has anyone else had a biopsy from here before??
My dad recently had a BCC biopsied and then removed from his lower eyelid. The biopsy took around 50% of the lid away and was left open for 7 days whilst they waited for the biopsy results. It sounds horrendous and did look nasty, we did all panic that he would be disfigured but the surgeons were amazing. The following week he went back and they spent around 40 minutes stitching him back up and you would honestly never know he had any surgery !
You've done the right thing getting checked and hopefully you may not even need a biopsy but if you do, I hope our experience helps. Best wishes x
