Q-FIT Results

Hi everyone, I did a Q-Fit test 4 weeks ago and it came back with a score of 14. So doc said for me to test again and I've just had a call today from the doc saying the score has risen to 139 so he is referring me for a colonoscopy. I'm not one for taking things in my stride so I'm panicking already. I've already been on Google which I know I shouldn't do but can't seem to help myself.

I know there's nothing I can do until I have the colonoscopy which I've been told should take place in 4 weeks but I'm just worried as it's the not knowing what's going on. I guess I'm just reaching out to you all for some advice please

I get really bad anxiety and I can already feel it starting to build. Thanks in advance for any replies/comments ️

  • Hello. I've also just got high QFit result of 259 from a private health check, I'm 52. I went to see my GP this morning and they are repeating the tests, I have to drop in my QFit to the surgery by 2pm, they have also taken blood and urine samples while I was there. The doctor said that if it was an NHS test she would have referred me straightaway but because it was done privately the hospital may not accept them. It's completely out of the blue, I have no symptoms, and only had the health check because it was on special offer with my work private health scheme and my family nagged about checking my heart out due to mum and dad both having heart issues and dad passed from heart failure. Like you I looked on google. but I take comfort that even with a high QFit result the likelihood of cancer is still low at 20% and even if it is cancer, it's likely to be slow growing, early stages and treatable. Hang in there Bunny, don't start to panic yet, try to distract yourself by doing whatever you love to do
