I have had two ultrasounds and a FNA and the results are still U3 - one nodule is 2.9cm and the other just under 2am.
i can see from the letter follow ups in the NHS app that they are recommending a full Thyroidectomy which seems quite serious to me with long term consequences when the nodules might be benign (per Google). I could have my life turned upside down for no reason as I am perfectly healthy as I am.
is this normal as the doctors haven’t even discussed it with me yet though I have an appointment tomorrow for a review of my high calcium levels too with the endocrine department.
i don’t know what to think or what questions to ask!
any advice would be helpful.
