I found a dent in my breast, referred to breast clinic under the 2 week pathway. This was the 7th June. I recieved my referral and attended the breast clinic on 18th June. The carried out a mammogram, 3D mammogram, ultrasound and a biopsy. Before leaving I seen a consultant who said nothing more than you’ll hear back with in 2 weeks.
next day I received a text with a letter to my GP attached saying left breast U5 and M5 41mm x 21 mm consistent with malignancy. Obviously I panicked and been having panic attacks.
I called the breast clinic and was told I’d get a call back - which I didn’t receive. I have called almost every day, and they been pretty useless, one person even told me they lost my notes. Today I went back to the clinic and asked for answers, only to be told I’m not going to be seen until 18th July due to leave and sickness of the doctors at the centre.
I do feel ve been treated pretty bad, I thought there was a 28 day turnaround for these things, but the time I get my results it would have been 6 weeks.
has anyone every received a letter saying M5 and U5 and it be wrong? is it right to think, as they are obviously not in a rush the news isn’t going to be bad?
