So scared, found lump in breast and get biopsy results on Monday

So found a lump on Sunday on my breast phoned the hospital luckily I have medical insurance so I was seen on the same day had all the tests including a biopsy. Which I get the results Monday I'm so scared can't eat or sleep my mind won't shut off and I keep touching the lump hoping it will go away, I also have mental health problems. I also keep Google images of scans with cancer to see if there is a match with what I've seen is this all normal what im going through

    Please try and stay off google, dr google can be especially scary and really won’t help with how you’re feeling. Instead pop on here as everyone is really lovely and understands all that you’re feeling xx 

    There are plenty of benign reasons for lumps, and the hospital are taking extra good care of you getting it all checked out properly.

    It is hard not to let the scary thoughts consume you, but be gentle with yourself and keep busy with things that distract you- reading, watching tv, seeing friends. Try and eat little and often as it’s important to keep yourself healthy.

    Totally agree with thearcher that it is hard not to worry.  If you can keep yourself busy or distracted, it will help. Avoid those who'll drag you down and talk to those who will help you how you want to be helped, I have a great friend who is very matter-of-fact and kind, she understands that I don't need toxic positivity but I do need reassurance and that is what she gives me. Big hugs!
