Had preliminary scan concerning prostate. But small lump spotted in liver. Will soon go for full body scan. GP says no blood supply to lump and not to worry yet. However, easier said than done. Anyone had similar?
I think it can be quite common for liver lesions to be found when scans are carried out for other things. The vast majority of these usually come back as benign. Is it an mri scan that they are now sending you for? If so, I think that is usually quite good for giving doctors a good idea if it needs further investigations or not.
Try not to worry, easier said than done I know, but you will hopefully get answers soon.
I had an ultrasound that found a large mass on my liver I have had a ct scan and mri scan, but unfortunately the doctors cannot say for sure whether it is benign or not, so they will be operating to remove it.
Thanks Annie. Yes, I'm waiting for the appointment for an MRI scan, I hope you're right about things. I also pray you have a good outcome for your problem.
I speak to the surgeon next week, so should hopefully find out then whether it will be open surgery or keyhole and when it will be done. I am naturally hoping to get it done asap!
I hope that you get your date for the scan through quickly, it is the waiting that is the worst bit!
