Lump in armpit.

Hi guys.

I recently discovered a hard lump in my right armpit. It’s quite hard, and I have noticed I have a tingling sensation that comes and goes. I was wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms and what it could be. I have been to the GP and referred to the breast clinic under the 2ww. Thank you.

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. It's good to hear that you've seen the GP about this and that you have a referral. I hope it's not long to wait for your appointment and for any information to follow.

    I'm sure you must be dealing with some uncertainty and I hope you're getting on OK. Take things a day at a time while you wait and try to keep busy to keep your mind off any worries as much as possible.

    In the meantime if others here have similar experience to share then hopefully you'll get some more replies soon.

    Hi, just wanted to say I understand your anxiety! I’m awaiting biopsy results for a solid lump in my breast and the waiting is hard.

    There are many reason for lumps in armpits, my daughter had to go and have one looked at with an ultrasound last year, and it was found to be nothing scary and was just a fatty lump. She is only 16 so it was so scary for her and me. 

    They will probably do an ultrasound at your appointment and often can reassure you then like they did with my daughter.

    Hi all,

    just thought I’d give an update. I had my appointment this afternoon. It’s a cyst, the surgeon recommended it to be removed as it’s causing some referred pain. Thank you all, and wish you well
