Has anyone experienced these lymphoma Symtoms

For the past year and half i’ve been experiencing tingling through out my body from head to toe. I then developed twitches and numbness. I have been referred for an MRI however the wait list is 7 months long, Yhe doctors do thing it is something neurological however the past 6 months i’ve had bad gland pain no infection signs and no lumps. I do also have bad knee stiffness and shin bone pain and do recieve tingling in my knee and ankle. I also have bad left rib pain. I did read that lymphoma does give neurological symptoms so just wondered if anyone has experienced any symptoms like these.

  • Hi m-2310,

I can imagine this tingling through your body, the twitches and numbness you have experienced are making you very worried and it's a shame you are having to wait for your MRI for so long. The doctors seem to think it's neurological and do not therefore seem overly concerned but if you wanted some reassurance about these symptoms, it might be worth getting a second opinion. Try not to worry too much about lymphoma especially if the doctors haven't flagged this as a possibility and there are so many other things that could be causing these symptoms. The hardest thing though is to wait for clarity and this is often a time when our minds go into overdrive, imagining the least likely scenarios and looking things up frenetically on Google, scaring ourselves often because Google tends to bring up the worst cases and the least likely possibilities. Having to wait months for tests is likely to make you resort to the temptation of online research and trying to diagnose yourself. However, this will only lead to more anxiety - we have these helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for important news.

I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have experienced similar symptoms before and that they will be along shortly to tell you more about their story and how things developed for them.

    Best wishes,
